There are 3 values said to lead each and every MOTH member – true comradeship, mutual help and sound memory – and on Friday, the 9th of June, Chilli Source got a first-hand taste of exactly why this is true.
We arrived at the MOTH memorial main hall holding gift bags filled with a range of gestures to remind the grannies and grandpas that live there that they are loved and that, while it may seem that they have been forgotten, they continue to inspire even in their old age. In fact, their values that we mentioned above seem to have inspired the Robin Hood Foundation, RMS Staffing Solutions and Chilli Source Design to show true comradeship in coming together to help spread a little love and brighten their days.
The most important thing to mention is how truly rewarding this was for each and every ‘Chilli’ involved. From dancing to some wonderful music to laughing and swapping stories with the spirited grannies and grandpas, there was not a moment that didn’t have the potential to create lasting smiles from ear to ear.
Lastly, we’d like to give special mention to Rene Tshiakanyi, brand ambassador of LifeLine, who provided an incredible atmosphere through his unwavering charm and lovely music. Check him out on Soundcloud or Facebook, send him an email on firstname.lastname@example.org or give him a call on 084 674 6819 if you’d like him to perform at your next event or if you’re looking to donate – you won’t regret it!
